Freeze hits Scottish games again

Pitches across Scotland are frozen
Eleven matches are off across the country because of the cold weather

The cold weather has caused a number of cancellations in the Scottish football schedule for the second week in a row.

Motherwell v Hamilton in the Scottish Premier League is off after pipes burst at Fir Park and there is a 1100 GMT inspection at the Falkirk Stadium.

In the First Division, Queen of the South v Ayr, Dunfermline v Raith and Inverness CT v Ross County are off, as are all five Second Division games.

In the Third Division, only the Queen's Park v Albion Rovers game survives.

East Stirling v Elgin, Stranraer v Annan, Berwick Rangers v Livingston and Montrose v Forfar have all been postponed, leaving Hampden the only pitch that is playable.

A pitch inspection is planned for 1000 GMT on Sunday at Dundee for their First Division match against Airdrie United.

Four Scottish Premier League games were called off earlier in the week, as was Forfar's game against Berwick and East Stirling's match with Albion Rovers.

And on Boxing Day 13 SFL fixtures were cancelled because of frozen pitches.
