 Gary Megson had trouble convincing some Bolton fans

Former Bolton boss Gary Megson says he was never given a fair hearing by some sections of the club's fans.
Megson was booed at his first game as manager and was sacked on Wednesday after a campaign by supporters.
"It used to surprise me that the reaction I got was a lot different around the country from the one in Bolton," Megson told BBC Radio 5 live.
"I have been absolutely delighted by the reaction (to his sacking by Bolton)from real football people."
Megson faced an uphill battle to win over the home supporters from the outset and even though he succeeded in keeping Bolton up in his first season, some fans never warmed to him.
But Megson said he was happy with his achievements during his time at the Reebok Stadium.
"The sensible people have realised what position Bolton were in before and what position they are in now to go forward," he said.
"I enjoyed the people I was working with and it was a real pleasure to work with the players on a daily basis.
"Never once did I have to criticise for a lack of effort or honesty when they played.
"Yes, the fans' reaction was made plain at the first game. The fans made their feelings known but I was really excited and I was looking forward to joining Bolton and I would do so again.
"The people I worked for were brilliant."
Megson was asked to leave the day after Tuesday's 2-2 draw with Hull City that left them deep in relegation trouble amid more pressure from fans for a change of manager.
Megson continued: "I don't know why they did not take to me - there are over twenty thousand at a home game.
"There are some really nice people at Bolton and they did not subscribe to all that was going on, so you can't generalise."
There were good time for Megson during over two years at the club especially Kevin Davies' late goal that sealed an epic 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich in the Uefa Cup during 2008.
"We went to Bayern Munich with a reserve team and I said to Archie (Knox) 'I hope we don't get a really good hiding here'," added Megson.
"You aspire to do the best that you can and it is up to other people where they think the club should aspire to. But you have to take into consideration the conditions and the circumstances you are operating in."
Bolton also enjoyed wins notable wins over Red Star Belgrade and Atletico Madrid in Europe, but some fans took a dim view of weakened teams turning out in the Uefa Cup as he looked to save his players for important Premier League matches.

"I don't feel bitter, I just feel bitterly disappointed," said Megson.
"I really enjoyed working a Bolton, it's a fantastic club.
"At times it has just been a bounce of the ball. For example on Tuesday (against Hull) if Paul Robinson had managed to get his foot round the ball we would have had two more points."
The manager's position at Sheffield Wednesday is vacant and as a former player Megson could be the ideal fit.
Megson concluded: "Nobody has contacted me from Sheffield Wednesday and for that matter any other football club. I need to take stock and get back into football as quickly as I can.
"But I am in the fortunate position that I don't need to take the first job that comes along."
