Worcester Warriors have said they want full-back Chris Latham to stay at Sixways, but they may have to work hard to keep him at the club.
The 34-year-old joined the Warriors in 2008 on a two-year contract, with the option of staying for a third year.
Director of rugby Mike Ruddock told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "There are a lot of things to be talked about before we know if he will stay on.
"Chris is enjoying his rugby at Worcester and we hope he will stay."
Latham played in 78 tests at international level for for Australia and was rated Worcester's biggest ever signing.
He has been a stand-out player in a Warriors side that has slumped to 11th in the table.
"He is a fantastic player, and there will be talk about his future and a lot of other players," Ruddock added.
"It's not just about Chris, it's about his family as well and how they have settled in.
"It's that time of year when everyone is starting to look around."
