Wales coach Warren Gatland has been boosted by Lee Byrne's availability
|
Wing Leigh Halfpenny and hooker Matthew Rees are injury doubts for Wales as they prepare to name their side for the Six Nations opener against England.
Coach Warren Gatland is set to unveil his Twickenham selection at 1300 GMT.
Gatland received a boost for Saturday's game when Lee Byrne's two-match ban was overturned, leaving him free to start.
That is likely to free James Hook from full-back duty to start at centre outside Jamie Roberts, scrum-half, lock and back row other talking points.
Gareth Cooper, Martin Roberts and Richie Rees are competing for the number nine jersey in the injury absence of Mike Phillips and Dwayne Peel.

606: DEBATE
|
Gatland faces a dilemma over who partners British and Irish Lions lock Alun Wyn Jones in the second row.
Luke Charteris played in the autumn but veteran Ian Gough, looking to win his 62nd Wales cap, has earned a Wales recall.
Gough's Ospreys team-mate Jonathan Thomas is also a second row contender after returning from a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
He could also be considered at blind-side flanker, Andy Powell and captain Ryan Jones other potential sixes depending on which of the two misses out on his favoured number eight berth.
Wales loose-head prop Gethin Jenkins hopes to be reunited with his Lions team-mates tight-head prop Adam Jones and hooker Matthew Rees in a formidable Welsh front row.
But Rees is Wales' latest injury concern, Gareth Williams and Huw Bennett the other hookers in the squad.
Tom James would be the likely stand-in for Halfpenny, should his Blues team-mate not be fit.
Wales' 35-man Six Nations squad:
Backs: Gareth Cooper, Leigh Halfpenny, Tom James, Richard Rees, Jamie Roberts, Tom Shanklin (all Cardiff Blues) Dan Biggar, Andrew Bishop, Lee Byrne, James Hook, Kristian Phillips, Tom Prydie, Shane Williams (all Ospreys), Jonathan Davies, Stephen Jones, Martin Roberts (all Scarlets).
Forwards: Bradley Davies, Gethin Jenkins, Deiniol Jones, Andy Powell, Sam Warburton, Gareth Williams, Martyn Williams (all Cardiff Blues), Huw Bennett, Ian Gough, Paul James, Adam Jones, Alun-Wyn Jones, Ryan Jones, Jonathan Thomas (all Ospreys), Matthew Rees (Scarlets), Luke Charteris, Dan Lydiate (both Newport Gwent Dragons), Eifion Lewis-Roberts (Sale Sharks), Rhys Gill (Saracens).
