1945: Right on time (about 20 minutes after I asked for it), here's Football League Danny: "Sheffield United travel to Watford hoping to boost their play-off hopes. And Preston host Barnsley in a match which is full of mid-table goodness. Charlton travel to Walsall in League One, needing a victory to breathe life into their promotion bid. And Bournemouth hope to close the gap on unstoppable football machine Rochdale as they face League Two rivals Rotherham."

1943: TEAM NEWS Crystal Palace v Wolves
Desperately short of numbers, cash-strapped Crystal Palace name only six of a possible seven substitutes and make one change from Saturday's victory over Peterborough as Matt Lawrence comes in for the Cup-tied Lee Hills. Premier League Wolves hand a first start to recent signing Geoffrey Mujangi Bia, while Richard Stearman, Nenad Milijas and Sam Vokes also come into the side. Wayne Hennessey starts in goal ahead of Marcus Hahnemann.

1941: While we wait anxiously for the team news from Crystal Palace, let's have some statistical magic from OptaJoe. Nicolas Anelka has scored five goals in his last five league appearances, Drogba has scored five in six and Lampard four in three. Yikes.

From samfiske on 606: "Any entrances in a helicopter with Pele tonight Cheesy?"
If I could choose one thing to do before I die, it would be to arrive somewhere, anywhere, by helicopter with Pele. Even it's just the supermarket or something.

1933: TEAM NEWS Crystal Palace v Wolverhampton
Crystal Palace: Speroni, Lawrence, Hill, Davis, Clyne, Butterfield, Danns, Derry, Carle, Ambrose, Lee. Subs: Manns, Scannell, Andrew, Djilali, Comley, Wynter.
Wolverhampton: Hennessey, Stearman, Craddock, Berra, Zubar, Foley, Mancienne, Henry, Milijas, Mujangi Bia, Vokes. Subs: Hahnemann, Ebanks-Blake, Surman, David Jones, Halford, Iwelumo, Castillo.

1929: TEAM NEWS Wigan v Notts County
Wigan manager Roberto Martinez makes four changes for the replay with Notts County from the side that lost against Everton. Hugo Rodallega, Charles N'Zogbia, Hendry Thomas and James McCarthy are on the bench, with Jason Koumas, Jordi Gomez, Paul Scharner and Scott Sinclair coming into the starting XI. New striker Victor Moses is cup-tied for the fourth round replay having already played in the competition for Crystal Palace. Mario Melchiot is still out with a neck injury. Ricky Ravenhill does start for Notts County, despite taking a blow to the head during Saturday's 2-0 win over Barnet. Sean Canham is cup tied, after playing in the competition while on loan at Hayes & Yeading.

From mrjobo93 on Twitter: "I'm not sure if you can perform miracles or not but if you can keep Arsenal's title chances alive by making Hull beat Chelsea..."

1920: Robbie Keane starts for Celtic tonight. Just thought you might want to know. He can't have got to bed until gone midnight last night after zipping up to Glasgow to seal his loan move from Spurs. Whirlwind.

1917: TEAM NEWS Hull v Chelsea
Hull manager Phil Brown makes just the one change to the side that drew 2-2 with Wolves on Saturday for the visit of Chelsea, Craig Fagan replacing Bernard Mendy, so Amr Zaki and the returning Kamil Zayatte (ankle) start on the bench. Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti drafts Didier Drogba straight back into his starting XI following the striker's return from the Africa Cup of Nations, while under-fire skipper John Terry retains the captaincy despite allegations about his private life in the national press. Ashley Cole, however, misses out with an ankle injury, so Yuri Zhirkov is pushed back into defence alongside the returning Ricardo Carvalho, while Deco replaces Joe Cole.

1915: TEAMS Wigan v Notts County
Wigan: Stojkovic, Boyce, Caldwell, Bramble, Figueroa, Sinclair, Scharner, Diame, Gomez, Koumas, Scotland. Subs: Pollitt, Amaya, Thomas, Watson, N'Zogbia, Rodallega, McCarthy.
Notts County: Schmeichel, Thompson, Edwards, Hunt, Jackson, Westcarr, Bishop, Clapham, Ravenhill, Davies, Hughes. Subs: Hoult, Lee, Hamshaw, Hawley, Fairclough, Rodgers, Akinbiyi.

1913: TEAMS Hull v Chelsea
Hull: Myhill, McShane, Gardner, Mouyokolo, Dawson, Fagan, Boateng, Cairney, Hunt, Altidore, Vennegoor of Hesselink. Subs: Duke, Barmby, Geovanni, Mendy, Kilbane, Zayatte, Zaki.
Chelsea: Cech, Ivanovic, Carvalho, Terry, Zhirkov, Ballack, Deco, Lampard, Anelka, Malouda, Drogba. Subs: Turnbull, Ashley Cole, Joe Cole, Paulo Ferreira, Kalou, Sturridge, Alex.

1910: Also tonight: Wigan and Wolves face FA Cup potential-banana-skin-replays. I'm going to order a potential-banana-skin graphic. I'm sadly lacking one. The Latics host League Two Notts County, the lowliest club left in the competition. Wolves are at Crystal Palace. And I should imagine Football League Danny will be along shortly to tell us about the Football League (obviously) action tonight.

1908: Onwards. Tonight Chelsea can go four points clear at the top of the Prem if they win their game in hand against Hull. The game was called off in early January when the Blues would have been without their African stars. As it is, Hull will have to deal with the returning Didier Drogba, and maybe Salomon Kalou as well. Although Chelsea could have Amr Zaki to cope with.

Done deal
1904: DONE DEAL Ha. I've always wanted to write that. Stevo will be FURIOUS. Benjani sealed his loan move from Manchester City to Sunderland earlier today, after the Premier League accepted Steve Bruce's excuse that his fax broke down. Or something like that.

1900: Aaaah, football. How I've missed you and your curious ways...
