MATCH PREVIEW

With just a point separating Manchester City, Aston Villa and Tottenham, the race for the lucrative fourth Champions League place could not be much closer - especially with Villa and Tottenham travelling to Manchester City over the next few days.

It's such an important game for both clubs. It's big for City. They're expected to go out and win whereas we've come from nowhere over the last couple of weeks and we've given ourselves a chance

Richard Dunne, Aston Villa and ex-Man City defender

Villa are first up at Eastlands and, having played a game more than City and Tottenham, really need to win to keep their dreams of a place in Europe's big league alive.

That they are even in the frame is impressive after the 7-1 mauling they suffered at Chelsea just over a month ago. Unbeaten in five since then, Martin O'Neill's side have enjoyed a revival which - according to Villa's ex-City defender Richard Dunne - has the team travelling to Manchester on a high.

Also travelling to Manchester this week was Hungary goalkeeper Marton Fulop in an emergency loan deal from Sunderland. With Shay Given, Stuart Taylor and David Gonzalez injured and Joe Hart unable to return from his loan spell at Birmingham, City have placed their trust in a goalkeeper who conceded seven in his last appearance, playing for Sunderland against Chelsea.

If Fulop plays, manager Roberto Mancini will hope he has recovered from his Stamford Bridge nightmare as well as Aston Villa have.
