Pulis answers player row reports

Pulis saw his Stoke side lose 7-0 against Chelsea on Sunday

Stoke boss Tony Pulis has responded to allegations that two of his players were involved in a half-time incident during Sunday's 7-0 defeat by Chelsea.

Captain Abdoulaye Faye and midfielder Glenn Whelan reportedly clashed but Pulis did not confirm or deny this.

"I maintain that what happens in the dressing room stays in the dressing room," he told his club's website.

"Glenn Whelan and Abdoulaye Faye are disappointed that again the confines of our sanctuary have been breached."

It is the second time this season that Stoke have been at the centre of a story about an alleged dressing room incident.

In December it was claimed Pulis was involved in a bust-up with striker James Beattie after Stoke's 2-0 defeat by Arsenal.

The incident led to the Potters conducting an internal investigation but no disciplinary action was taken.
