BBC Sport's Sarah Holt on Twitter: "Again, I don't want to spoil the surprise but I think Eddie Jordan will be sporting some interesting footwear when qualifying hits the BBC at 1100 BST."

0840: So what do you think the prospects are for today? Can anyone catch the Adrian Newey-designed Red Bull bullets driven by Webber and Sebastian Vettel? Will I be able to get through today without mentioning Mick Hucknall or fried breakfasts? Doh! Anyway here's the details of how you can have your say. Use Twitter, 606 (after 0900 BST) or text us on 81111 (UK) or +44 7786200666 (worldwide) with F1 before your message. Over to you.

BBC Sport's Sarah Holt in Istanbul: "Morning, overcast skies have greeted us at Istanbul Park and the weather chart in the media centre has a tick in the 'chance of rain' box, but it's still a pretty warm 23C and my best guess is that it'll stay dry. The drivers began trickling into the paddock at 0945, filing past triple world champion Niki Lauda, who was hanging out at Mercedes. Felipe Massa was in a chipper mood, despite failing to live up to his reputation as a three-time winner on this track during Friday practice. 'We have to improve the car still further to be competitive,' the Ferrari driver said. 'McLaren and Red Bull seem very strong here.' Third practice, as always, should provide some more clues to form."

0834: Morning all. Ready for another intriguing day of practice and qualifying from Turkey? Do I really need to ask? Here's the plan for today, third and final and practice begins at 0900 BST before qualifying gets under way at 1200 BST. I'm going to stick my neck out and suggest that Red Bull might get pole. With me?

0830: The last man to secure three F1 poles in a row was Felipe Massa in 2007. The last Australian to record that feat was Jack Brabham in 1960. This is what Red Bull's Mark Webber will be trying to emulate at Istanbul Park later on. Now I don't know about you, but I feel the hand of history upon my shoulders.
