Highlights - Switzerland 0-0 Honduras
Switzerland coach Ottmar Hitzfeld admitted his team deserved to be going home from the World Cup after their goalless draw with Honduras.
The Swiss, who began their campaign with a 1-0 victory over Spain, went out after a dismal display in Bloemfontein.
"It took us a very long time to find our game and Honduras created chances before us," said Hitzfeld.
"We then had chances of our own, but we didn't deserve to qualify because we didn't score."
The Swiss, so comfortable soaking up pressure against the Spanish, left the impression of a team who are much less at home when the onus is on them to attack.
Needing to beat the unfancied central Americans 2-0 to guarantee progress, they lacked any real potency in front of goal and could easily have conceded on the break in the second half.
"We got more nervous and failed to pass properly," said Hitzfeld. We did have some opportunities but not great opportunities. I'm not happy with our midfield or our forwards."

Hitzfeld suggested his players may have crumbled under the weight of expectation.
"We are very disappointed, not just me, the players, everybody," added Hitzfeld. "We had great ambitions for this match. It was too much of a burden for them and it got more so during the game.
"We haven't lived up to our expectations. We failed to deliver because we had too much pressure. We had to score twice.
"It is a huge disappointment for me. We didn't have the stamina, we didn't have the perseverance."
The draw ensured Spain and Chile took the two qualifying places from Group H, with the European champions claiming top spot after their 2-1 win over the South Americans.
"The disappointment tonight is very deep, because after our opening victory against Spain we had great hopes," reflected Hitzfeld, the winner of 19 major trophies at club level.
"Now we'll go home and all we can do is concentrate on the future, on the Euro 2012 qualifiers."
