Welsh pair Dai Greene and Rhys Williams secured a one-two finish for Britain in the men's 400m hurdles final at the European Championships in Barcelona.
Greene, 24, won in a time of 48.12 seconds, with Williams taking silver in a personal best time of 48.96.
"There was a lot of expectation and there is no better feeling to deliver on the day," said Greene.
Michael Rimmer took 800m silver but was disappointed at being pipped on the line by Poland's Marcin Lewandowski.
Greene powered to a commanding victory in 48.12 seconds, lowering his own leading time in Europe this year with a new personal best.

"It felt pressurised being the favourite tonight but the pressure helped me to focus and go faster," he said.
"I didn't have any other objective than to win the gold medal and I'm very pleased to have secured a personal best at the same time."
Rimmer looked on course to win Great Britain's first gold in the men's 800m since Tom McKean in 1990 but Lewandowski beat him with a furious final charge winning by just one-tenth of a second.
"I'm disappointed. He put me under pressure," said Southport runner Rimmer after winning his first major medal.
"I still thought I had enough. Maybe I tightened up. He was just a bit stronger than me on the day."
Similarly, Williams was disappointed with second place, leaving Greene to do a lone lap of honour.
The son of former Wales rugby winger JJ Williams, survived misjudging the final hurdle to claim silver in 48.96 sec, also a new personal best.
"I'm happy with a personal best but I wanted to win - I don't believe in laps of honour for being second," he told BBC Sport.
"Today belongs to Dai - my next target is the Commonwealth Games, where I'll try to go one better.
"Sorry to everyone at home for not winning but stick by me, there's more to come."
