Fish has lost both his previous Masters final appearances
|
Mardy Fish battled from the brink of defeat to beat Andy Roddick 4-6 7-6 6-1 and reach the Cincinnati Masters final.
After winning a rain-delayed first set with a late break, Roddick looked to be cruising past Andy Murray's last-eight conqueror when he led 5-2 in the next.
But after another stop for the weather, Fish clinched his first break of the match before taking the tie-break 7-3.
Roddick capitulated in the last as Fish advanced to the final where he will play Marcos Baghdatis or Roger Federer.
