1248: Sasa Papac hesitates to get the ball into the box after a sprightly move by Rangers and Hibs go on the attack.
1247: Derek Riordan is trying to find his range. He looks in the mood today but perhaps it's his running spikes he is wearing rather than his shooting boots. His efforts have been a bit wayward.
1246: The game needs a decent effort on goal. There has only been that early cross from Michael Hart for Anthony Stokes so far.
1245: Rangers win a corner and swing it into the danger area, but Liam Miller clears the danger.
1244: If you are in the UK, we will have online highlights of the two SPL matches from Saturday available on the website at 1800 BST.
1242: Derek Riordan smashes a cross off Madjid Bougherra's arm. The home fans call for a penalty but that would have been harsh - the Algerian defender had his arm tucked firmly by his side.
"Rangers are unbeaten on their last 10 visits here - six wins and four draws." BBC Radio Scotland commentator David Begg

1235: Liam Miller brings Steven Davis to the turf with a clumsy challenge. Just a word of warning from ref Iain Brines for the Hibs midfielder.
1234: Mocking cheers from the visiting fans as Derek Riordan screws a left-footed shot horribly wide of the post from 20 yards.
1233: Big Sol Bamba, the Hibs centre-half, lets Kenny Miller know he is in for a game, thumping through him, fairly, to win a challenge in the air.
1231: Rangers have two former Hibs players in their starting line-up - Steven Whittaker and Kenny Miller. Plus, sub Kirk Broadfoot started his career at Easter Road but never played for the first team.
1229: Anthony Stokes and Edwin De Graaf fail to link up down the right wing for Hibs. It's a bit scrappy at the minute.
1227: Hibs have widened their pitch. Let's see how they make use of the extra space.
1224: Rangers' goalie Allan McGregor makes a great save from Michael Hart's cross for Anthony Stokes, the keeper getting a hand to the ball just before the Irishman could head home from four yards.
1223: Interesting comments by Craig Levein on Sportscene on Monday night, I thought, when in a discussion about Riordan he said Scotland could not afford any "passengers". I'm sure he meant it as a form of encouragement...
1219: Hibs' Derek Riordan attempts an ambitious lob of Allan McGregor from 35 yards, but he hits it too hard.
1217: A typically fast-paced opening to this fixture. Somehow I don't think the game will slow down too much, though. There's a decent atmosphere to keep the players on their toes.
1215: Both teams had a fine start to the Scottish Premier League season, Hibs with an away win at Motherwell, Rangers beating Kilmarnock.
1213: We're close to kick-off. The sun is out, about 5,000 fans are in the new stand and the new, wider pitch is looking splendid. It's a great setting.
1209: Hibs' new East Stand looks tremendous. My memories of that part of the ground go back to the mid-1980s when there was a crumbling bit of terracing at the south-eastern corner, next to the visiting fans. I recall some fans jumping over the fence to get some "ammunition" from there - rubble! I'm glad things have improved so dramatically.
1207: Good news if you are a Rangers fan. Assistant manager Ally McCoist tells BBC Scotland's roving reporter Chick Young that there is no truth in the rumour that midfielder Steven Davis is leaving the club.
1204: Having a look at those teams, big Colin Nish drops on to the bench, making way for Hibs' David Wotherspoon, and for the visitors Kirk Broadfoot is the only change from last week as Steven Davis comes into the starting line-up.
1202: While Walter Smith lines up his Rangers team as follows: McGregor, Whittaker, Weir, Bougherra, Papac, Lafferty, Davis, Edu, Naismith, Miller, Beattie. Subs: Alexander, Broadfoot, Weiss, McMillan, Little, Wylde, Hutton.
1201: The Hibernian team to face Rangers at 1215 is: Brown, Hart, Hogg, Bamba, Hanlon, Wotherspoon, Miller, McBride, De Graaf, Stokes, Riordan. Subs: Graeme Smith, Nish, Rankin, Thicot, Stevenson, Galbraith, Stephens.
1200: Welcome to the live text commentary for today's Scottish Premier League matches.
