Matt King scored a hat-trick as Warrington all but ended Wakefield's Super League play-off hopes.

Scores from Chris Hicks and a King double gave the Wolves the lead before Damien Blanch replied for the hosts.

Chris Riley and Ben Jeffries traded tries before the break but King's third and further scores from Matty Blythe and Lee Briers ended the contest.

Wakefield lie four points behind eighth-placed Crusaders with two games left, while Warrington move second.
