Poland's Caroline Wozniacki saw off Russian 11th seed Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-2 6-3 in a rain-delayed semi-final at the Rogers Cup in Montreal.
The number two seed resumed at 2-0 up in the first set and broke twice more in a polished performance.
Wozniacki will face eighth seed Vera Zvonareva after Victoria Azarenka retired at 7-6 (8-6) 1-0 down.
The final begins at 1830 BST on Monday after the semis, both due to finish on Saturday, were delayed by heavy rain.
