Barcelona held to draw in Russia

Christian Noboa celebrates for Rubin Kazan
Noboa wheels away in celebration after putting Rubin in front in Russia

Barcelona had to come from behind to earn a point in their second Group D match at Russian side Rubin Kazan.

The hosts went in front on the half-hour mark when Cristian Noboa slotted in from the spot after a rash Daniel Alves challenge on Vitali Kaleshin inside the box.

Spanish champions Barcelona brought Lionel Messi on after the break for his first appearance following an ankle injury and their equaliser also came from the spot, David Villa tucking home after Lasha Salukvadze's foul on Andres Iniesta.

Barca could not convert their possession into goals and Rubin came desperately close to a winner in the closing stages when substitute Obafemi Martins headed against the base of the post.
