Steven Davis has been declared fit for Rangers' Champions League game with Bursaspor at Ibrox on Wednesday.

The midfielder suffered a hamstring injury against Aberdeen at the weekend but trained on Tuesday afternoon and will feature in Walter Smith's squad.

James Beattie and John Fleck are both injured, while Nikica Jelavic is ineligible to play in the competition for the Scottish champions.

Full-back Steven Whittaker has recovered from a head knock.

Rangers head into the match in joint-second position with Manchester United, following their 0-0 draw at Old Trafford in the Group C opener a fortnight ago.

The Turks prop up the table, having suffered a crushing 4-0 loss in their opening match at home to Valencia.

Rangers lost all three of their home matches in the Champions League last season, while the visitors are making their first appearance in the competition.

Manager Walter Smith deployed a back-five at Old Trafford but is likely to be more adventurous at Ibrox.

US international Maurice Edu, who replaced the influential Davis at Pittodrie, played against Manchester United and may again be asked to bolster central midfield.

With Beattie and Jelavic unavailable, Kenny Miller might be asked to plough a lone furrow up front, although Kyle Lafferty could be asked to support the in-form striker.

Rangers (from): McGregor, Whittaker, Papac, Weir, Bougherra, Broadfoot, Davis, McCulloch, Edu, Naismith, Miller, Lafferty, Foster, Little, Weiss, Hutton, Alexander, Webster.
