The England players are in Abu Dhabi preparing for the first Test in Chennai
|
Heavy rain in Abu Dhabi disrupted England's training on Saturday ahead of next week's first Test in India.
The weather stopped the players leaving for practice until after lunch and cut their workout for the day in half.
England have set up a training camp in Abu Dhabi until a definitive decision is made on the trip back to India following the Mumbai terror attacks.
Senior England officials have travelled to India to assess security at Chennai, the venue for the first Test venue.
Hugh Morris, managing director of England cricket, and Sean Morris, chief executive of the Professional Cricketers' Association, will return on Sunday with their conclusions.
An announcement on the future of the tour is expected shortly afterwards.
The England team went home last Saturday following the attacks in Mumbai, which claimed almost 200 lives over three days in late November.
The 38-strong entourage, which includes 13 of the original Test party and 10 performance squad members, are breaking unusual ground by preparing for a Test in a different country to that in which it is being played.
They were due to head to nets at 0930 local time on Saturday, but their departure was put back to 1300, in the hope the run-ups at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium would be fit for practice in the middle.
The first Test in Chennai is due to begin on Thursday, 11 December.
