1243: Here come the players. It's a beautiful, sunny day in west London.

1239: "Keane resigned and shaved the beard so he can use the hair to make a younger clone of himself. Then he will come back and sign the young Keane."

1237: "Does anyone else think City look really weak today? Although knowing City we'll shock everyone and play well."

1235: Not long to go before kick-off at Craven Cottage, but time enough to remind you that if you're being dragged to the shops today, you can still follow this text commentary and get all the scores on your mobile. From a UK phone, just text FOOTBALL to 81010, it will cost you 10 to 15p and you will receive in return a link to our mobile site. Click on that, and you'll be straight through (then bookmark it so you never need to text that number again). The cost of being online on your phone will vary according to network and your own contract.

1232: A Stat of the Day for you - and it's a Christmas cracker. Manchester City have scored 29 Premier League goals this season, second only to Chelsea, but not one has been a header.

1228: "And the draw for the final of the Carling Cup is: Tottenham v Man United."

1226: Those Carling Cup semi-finals will be played on the week beginning 5 January and the week beginning 19 January. The teams drawn out first play the first leg at home.

1225: CARLING CUP DRAW
Tottenham v Burnley
Derby v Man Utd

1222: "My dearest wish would be to see Keane one day take over at Old Trafford. However, he's patently not ready yet, and has a lot the learn. The makings of a great manager however..."

1221: "Dr Cheese, I'm bed-ridden with flu and a fever - please prescribe me a Van Persie hat-trick. It's the only cure."

1218: "My biggest concern for Sunderland is how the players who showed form under Keane (Cisse, Richardson etc) will play under new guidance."

1214: In case you missed it, the big news today is that Roy Keane has shaved off his beard. He's Keane-shaven you could say. Keane, cleanÂ… oh whatever. Anyway, today's big question is: will Keano be back in management?

1211: Fulham keep faith with the team that held Aston Villa to a 0-0 draw last time out, meaning Zoltan Gera once again has to settle for a place on the bench. Manchester City are without Brazilian superstar Robinho and England defender Micah Richards who both miss out because of ankle injuries. But Shaun Wright-Phillips is passed fit despite a knee problem and Tal Ben-Haim, Michael Ball and Pablo Zabaleta all start in defence.

1207: TEAMS Fulham v Man City
Fulham: Schwarzer, Pantsil, Hughes, Hangeland, Konchesky, Davies, Murphy, Bullard, Dempsey, Johnson, Zamora. Subs: Zuberbuhler, Nevland, Gera, Etuhu, Stoor, Andreasen, Kallio.
Man City: Hart, Zabaleta, Dunne, Ben-Haim, Ball, Wright-Phillips, Kompany, Hamann, Vassell, Ireland, Mwaruwari. Subs: Schmeichel, Berti, Onuoha, Logan, Jo, Evans, Caicedo.

1205: Coming up shortly, the Carling Cup draw. Burnley, Derby, Manchester United and Tottenham are in the hat. Wonder if it'll be a Santa's hat.

1200: Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas is a great big sackful of Premier League goals. Ooh, and the new Take That CD. Thanks!
