Charles N'Zogbia has got his wish for a move away from Newcastle after the Magpies reached a deal for him to join Wigan, BBC Sport understands.

As pack of the package for the 22-year-old French midfielder, Wigan defender Ryan Taylor, 24, will go to Newcastle.

After becoming embroiled in a row with Newcastle boss Joe Kinnear, N'Zogbia had insisted he would never play for the club with the Irishman in charge.

N'Zogbia came to Newcastle in 2004 from French club Le Havre.
