Full-back Delon Armitage could miss England's autumn internationals after suffering a suspected dislocated shoulder playing for London Irish.

The 25-year-old was injured during his side's 40-10 victory over Gloucester in the Guinness Premiership on Sunday.

"Delon has a suspected dislocated shoulder and he's gone to hospital. We'll know more on Monday," said Exiles coach Toby Booth after the match.

"He's a tough cookie, but I have no idea how long he'll be out."

Armitage, who left the field in the 61st minute, has become a key player for England since making his debut last November.
