Tommy Smith is recalled up front in place of Federic Piquionne while Republic of Ireland international Steve Finnan slots in at right-back for the suspended Younes Kaboul. Just the one enforced change for Burnley with Kevin McDonald replacing the suspended Steve Caldwell.
