1346: Lee McCulloch heads clear as Alex MacDonald comes on for Pele. Falkirk manager Eddie May is looking for a way to restore parity.
1345: Scott Arfield is well policed by Kevin Thomson before Nacho Novo's sliced clearance gives Falkirk a corner. Can the Bairns find an equaliser?
1342: The ball is taking a bit of a doing in midfield as both sides struggle to re-establish their rhythm.
1340: Former Rangers and Falkirk hitman Kevin Drinkell is an interested spectator, wrapped up in the stand at the Falkirk Stadium. He must be impressed with what he's witnessed so far.
1337: James and Jennifer in Greenock have texted 80295 to say: "Controversial referee decisions are part of game. They give us all something to talk about and make football more interesting."
1336: Falkirk goalkeeper Robert Olejnik continues his fine form, denying Nacho Novo from point-blank ranger after the Spaniard connected with Kevin Thomson's free-kick.
1334:
Falkirk defender Brian McLean is booked for a challenge on Kenny Miller. That looked a bit harsh but Willie Collum was in no doubt.
|
|
1333: Kris Boyd is chasing the first hat-trick in the SPL this season as the second half gets under way!
1330:
From skinchampions on My Sport
"Falkirk's goal is the least they deserve and I'm a rangers fan! Beasley on for Novo soon if it doesnt improve!"

1318:
HALF-TIME FALKIRK 1-2 RANGERS
|
|
1317: Rangers are looking under pressure when Falkirk play some neat stuff down the middle. Madjid Bougherra is looking a little rusty alongside David Weir. Will we see Danny Wilson before the game is out?
1315: We've had three goals so far in a cracking first half and we could expect a few more before the end. Kenny Miller tries his luck from the edge of the area but balloons it over the bar. It's shoot on sight for both sides at the moment: great stuff!
1313:
Pedro Moutinho is denied by ANOTHER Allan McGregor save, this time the in-form stopper blocking with his legs. But, from the corner, Pele's header finds Moutinho at the back post, and the Portuguese stabs the ball home. GAME. ON.

|
1312: GOAL! Falkirk 1-2 Rangers (Pedro Moutinho)
1309:
The Falkirk supporters must be crying into their scarves. Scott Arfield is denied by Allan McGregor, then play rages to the other end and Boyd is at his clinical best to sweep home Kenny Miller's cross. This game is coming down to composure in front of goal.
|
|
1307: GOAL! Falkirk 0-2 Rangers (Kris Boyd)
1305:
Steven Whittaker goes into the book for a scything challenge on Carl Finnegan. But Falkirk can't profit from the set-piece in a dangerous area. Just under 11 minutes to go until the break and Rangers looking increasingly comfortable.
|
|
1304: Nacho Novo is penalised for handball inside the Falkirk penalty area just as the pint-sized Spaniard was about to pull the trigger.
1303: Plenty of endeavour from Eddie May's men, but apart from Moutinho's raking shot they've yet to really threaten Allan McGregor in the Rangers goal.
1302: "Falkirk need to remember, when they don't have the ball, they need to get back into position because Rangers are cutting through them far too easily." BBC Scotland pundit Billy Dodds
1300: If Rangers supporters were frustrated by their side's display at Pittodrie they must be far happier with this afternoon's showing so far. Boyd, Miller, Novo and Davis are all getting on the ball and looking menacing.
1259: Nacho Novo's shot is brilliantly parried by Olejnik and Falkirk need to stem the red tide towards the Bairns' goal.
1258: Apparently, Boyd was booked for lifting his jersey to bare his stomach.
1256: Bairns goalkeeper Robert Olejnik denies Kris Boyd a second goal as he races from goal to block his shot.
1254: Falkirk look shell-shocked after going behind. Their bright and breezy start was brought to a shuddering halt by Boyd's strike. Eddie May's men came back against Celtic a few weeks ago, can they do the same against Rangers today?
1253: Goalscorer Boyd received a booking after giving Rangers the lead - he revealed some form of slogan on his t-shirt under his top in front of the Bairns fans, reckon the BBC Sportsound team. We're investigating...
1251: "It was a typical striker's goal; he just buried it. Great work and a great goal for Boyd." BBC Radio Scotland pundit Billy Dodds
1250:
Just as Falkirk look the likelier to score, up pops the predatory Kris Boyd to give Rangers the lead. Madjid Bougherra, free wide on the left, sends in a delicious low ball and Boyd stabs it past Olejnik from close range.

1249: GOAL! Falkirk 0-1 Rangers (Kris Boyd)
1245: Nacho Novo attempts to play in team-mate Steven Davis but his threaded ball is gobbled up by Falkirk and the hosts go on the counter attack. A great open game so far!
1243: Just over 10 minutes gone and both sides are warming to the task. Carl Finnigan and Lee McCulloch lock horns in midfield in a crunching tackle. It's blood and thunder stuff at the Falkirk Stadium.
1240: Pedro Moutinho fizzes a shot just over Allan McGregor's bar as the hosts show some attacking intent for the first time in the game.
1238: There are more than a few empty seats at the Falkirk Stadium. BBC Radio Scotland's Sportsound has just told listeners that supporters are still trying to get into the ground.
1237: A neat turn and Kenny Miller speeds away down the left-hand side but his low cross is cleared by Falkirk debutant Pele. Falkirk are far from convincing in clearing Steven Davis's corner. It's all Rangers at the moment.
1236: Rangers have pinned the hosts in their own half in the early stages but Robert Olejnik has yet to be called into ation.
1232: We're under way!
1231: The last time Rangers visited Falkirk, Kris Boyd scored the only goal of the game and Walter Smith's side went on to win their first SPL title in four attempts. You have to go back to December 2006 for Falkirk's last league win at home over Rangers. Mark Twaddle's header secured maximum points for the Bairns - their first SPL win against the Gers for 35 years.
Four changes for Rangers: Madjid Bougherra, Kenny Miller, Kevin Thomson and Nacho Novo come in for Danny Wilson, Kyle Lafferty, John Fleck and Steven Naismith.
1226: Falkirk made just one change from the side who lost to Hibernian, with Pedro Pele in for a first start for the club ahead of Danijel Marceta, who was named as a substitute.
1225: TEAMS Falkirk: Olejnik, Allison, Mitchell, McLean, Barr, Lima, Arfield, Flynn, Pele, Moutinho, Finnigan. Subs: Wagenaar, Twaddle, MacDonald, Marceta, Finnbogason, Bullen, Murdoch.
Rangers: McGregor, Whittaker, Papac, Weir, Bougherra, Davis, McCulloch, Thomson, Novo, Miller, Boyd. Subs: Alexander, Beasley, Smith, Lafferty, Fleck, Little, Wilson.
1215: Good afternoon and welcome to what promises to be another cracking day of Scottish Premier League action. First up, it's Falkirk against Rangers.
