Andy Roddick recovered from a poor start to eventually book his place in the quarter-finals of the Sony Ericsson Open in Key Biscayne, Miami.
The sixth-seeded American trailed 1-4 and 0-40 to Germany's Benjamin Becker in the first set.
But Roddick recovered to take the set to a tie-break, which he won 7-4, before winning the second set 6-3.
