West Brom forward Roman Bednar should be fit to face Leicester after missing four games with a thigh injury.
Fit-again trio Marek Cech, Chris Brunt and Robert Koren are also poised to make a comeback.
Leicester winger Lloyd Dyer and defenders Wayne Brown, Bruno Berner and Ryan McGivern all hope to return from illness or injury.
James Vaughan is pushing for a start after returning from injury as a substitute at Cardiff on Tuesday.
West Brom boss Roberto Di Matteo goes into his 100th match as a manager knowing that another win could take him to the brink of a Premier League return.
Unbeaten in six matches, second-placed Albion have racked up seven consecutive home victories. An eighth would make it their best run at home since the 1948/49 season, when they won 10 in a row.
Another home triumph for Albion, coupled with a defeat for third-placed Nottingham Forest, would give Di Matteo's side a 12-point advantage with only five games left to play.
Standing in their way are Leicester, who have promotion hopes of their own. The Foxes occupy the final play-off position despite three successive defeats and they are trying to stave off the challenge of in-form Blackpool.
Head-to-head
• West Brom's 2-1 victory at the Walkers Stadium in November means they have a chance to complete the club's first league double over Leicester for 29 years.

• This is the 94th league meeting of these clubs, who first met in 1901. They have been involved in just three goalless draws, only one of which was at The Hawthorns.
West Bromwich Albion
• West Brom boast the best attack in the Championship, having scored 78 goals in 40 games.
• Victory would complete their sixth league double of the season. They have already beaten Blackpool, Scunthorpe, Sheffield Wednesday, Plymouth and Peterborough both home and away.
• Chris Brunt needs to score once to reach 50 club career goals.
• If selected, Simon Cox will be making his 150th club career appearance.
Leicester
• A defeat for Leicester would mean four consecutive losses for the first time since late 2006.
• The Foxes are looking for a 50th win in 100 games under Nigel Pearson, who was formally assistant manager to Bryan Robson at the Hawthorns, and caretaker manager for West Brom for a month in September/October 2006.
• Only nine players have scored league goals for them this season, the fewest in the Championship.
